Firstly, read this thread: Rubber Bullet Inc. Recruitment Status
That should give you a good idea of what we're about, what we're trying to achieve and how we play. Still interested? Read on:
The first step is contacting us. There's a few ways of doing this:
1. Join the RUBUL chat channel in-game. This is the preferred way of getting to know you for us and contacting us another way will likely end up with you being directed here eventually anyway.
2. Contact either Raeph Mikakka or CLP125 in-game via mail or conversation or through the boards here. We're both friendly guys and will help you if you have any specific questions about the corp or our activities.
3. Sign up for these boards and ask questions here. Although most of our boards are only accessible to people actually in the corp, you can still post questions in the recruitment section.
Next, we talk!
Pretty much what you'd expect, we have a chat and make sure that as a corp, we can provide the content that you want in the game. Also of course we want to make sure that you fit in with us and will be a good addition to our numbers. We don't want people to be leaving because they're bored as much as we don't want people in the corp that are just wasting space and never join in! This will generally happen in the RUBUL chat so that other corp members can join in instead of just the recruitment team. The whole corp works together and we want to make sure everyone gets off on the right foot so the more the merrier in each recruitment process!
If we all agree that this is the right corp for you:
We'll ask for a full API. Please use this link to create your API key for us: community.eveonline.com/support/api-key/CreatePredefined?accessMask=268435455 make sure that the "Character" drop down menu is set to all and that the "No Expiry" box is ticked.
This is pretty standard and for our security. There's a lot of spies around and this a way that we can reduce the amount of potential spies we can recruit. Don't be offended when we ask! Every single member of the corp that wasn't in the corp when it formed has had to send in an API, I even had to myself! If a corp tries to recruit you that doesn't ask for an API, it means that the leadership is probably lazy and isn't interested about the safety of their corp and it's members.
Please make sure your API management screen looks like this before submitting (the bits that are blocked out in red don't matter) and after you've clicked accept, please send the API Key and Verification Code:
We'll make sure you're aware of anything important that will impact you when you join. Maybe the most important of which is whether or not we're at war. It's no fun joining a corp and then getting killed 2 seconds later when you undock. Also where we're operating from, if we have some ops coming up etc. If there's something that would affect your gameplay negatively (such as if we're at war) then we won't be offended if you want to wait a little to join.
If you need any help moving things, feel free to ask. It's not guaranteed that we can help but if we can, we will.
Please remember that although we will be as open as possible with everyone, EVE is a game of trust. We will always be honest when we answer about what we do but unfortunately sometimes the answer might be "Sorry, we can't tell you that." This is just a security measure, especially in public channels or with people we've just met, we can't safely give out information on certain sensitive topics. As you get into the corp and we get to know you better, more things will be shared with you but it does take some time.
